Through PalWallet and PalPayments, we enable companies to integrate modern financial services, including digital assets, global payments, and multi-currency settlement, into their products.

PALWALLET LTD (Cyprus) is a newly established entity within PalWallet Group. The entity is being developed to support the Group's European expansion and, subject to the required regulatory approvals, will focus initially on the purchase and sale of crypto-assets for clients.

Role Overview

The Executive Director & Local CEO will lead the establishment, licensing, and day-to-day management of PALWALLET LTD (Cyprus). This is a genuine, full-time executive position combining board-level accountability with hands-on operational leadership.

The successful candidate will be based in Cyprus, work closely with the Group CEO and senior leadership, and take responsibility for building an effective, well-governed, and regulator-ready local operation. The appointment will be subject to CySEC's fit-and-proper assessment and formal approval.

Key Responsibilities

Entity Leadership & Strategy

• Lead the establishment and ongoing management of PALWALLET LTD (Cyprus).
• Translate the Group's strategy into a practical local operating plan.
• Take executive ownership of the entity's performance, governance, resources, and operational readiness.
• Act as a trusted senior representative of PalWallet Group in Cyprus.

Board & Corporate Governance

• Serve as an Executive Director and local CEO of the Cyprus entity.
• Participate actively in Board decision-making and ensure effective implementation of Board resolutions.
• Maintain clear governance, accountability, escalation, and reporting arrangements.
• Ensure that conflicts of interest and external appointments are identified, disclosed, and appropriately managed.

Regulatory & Licensing Support

• Support the preparation and submission of the CASP licence application and all related documentation.
• Work closely with legal and compliance advisors throughout the CySEC authorisation process.
• Represent the entity in regulatory meetings, interviews, information requests, and ongoing supervisory engagement.
• Ensure that the entity remains aligned with applicable Cyprus and EU regulatory requirements, including MiCA.

Operations & Business Delivery

• Build and oversee the operating model required for the purchase and sale of crypto-assets for clients, subject to regulatory approval.
• Coordinate local operations across compliance, risk, finance, legal, product, technology, and customer-facing functions.
• Establish appropriate internal processes, policies, controls, service-provider arrangements, and management reporting.
• Support the development of the local team and ensure sufficient operational substance in Cyprus.

Stakeholder Management

• Report regularly to the Group CEO and Board of Directors on progress, risks, regulatory matters, and operational performance.
• Work closely with PalWallet Group leadership and cross-functional teams across jurisdictions.
• Manage relationships with regulators, professional advisors, banking partners, vendors, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently based in Cyprus and able to work regularly from the company's local office.
• Proven senior leadership experience within fintech, payments, an EMI, or another regulated financial-services environment.
• Experience managing a company, regulated entity, business unit, or significant operational function.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory accountability, and board-level responsibilities.
• Experience engaging with regulators, external counsel, auditors, or licensing advisors.
• Ability to build operations and governance structures from the ground up in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong commercial judgement combined with disciplined risk and regulatory awareness.
• Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Availability for a full-time executive commitment and ability to meet CySEC's fit-and-proper requirements.
• An academic degree in Business, Finance, Law, Economics, Management, or a related field.
• Impeccable professional reputation, integrity, and the ability to pass all required regulatory screening and background checks.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in crypto, digital assets, or a CASP/VASP environment.
• Experience with MiCA or a CySEC licensing or supervisory process.
• Experience launching or scaling a regulated entity in Cyprus or another EU jurisdiction.
• Existing knowledge of the Cyprus financial-services ecosystem and local professional network.
