Through PalWallet and PalPayments, we enable companies to integrate modern financial services including digital assets, global payments, and multi-currency settlement into their products. We are expanding our regulatory and compliance capabilities as part of our growth across Europe and are seeking a highly experienced Member of the Management Board to lead our compliance and regulatory strategy.

Role Overview   

• The Member of the Management Board will be responsible for leading the company's overall strategic and operational activities in Poland, including regulatory compliance, business development, operations, and vendor/partner management.
• In this pivotal role, you will drive the establishment and scaling of our local operations from the ground up, receiving broad managerial autonomy to shape the company’s fintech and compliance infrastructure in the Polish market.
• The primary objective over the next two years is to accelerate the expansion of our financial and fintech services across Europe while firmly establishing and strengthening our regulatory and commercial standing in Poland. Your success will be a critical pillar in achieving the Group's global growth vision.
• The position involves managing ongoing, complex interfaces with the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), local tax authorities, commercial banks, payment providers, and other financial ecosystem partners.
• You will work closely with executive leadership and the Group's shareholders to define, implement, and align the company’s compliance and expansion strategies.
• We are seeking a leader who possesses deep expertise in local financial regulation alongside a strong commercial and business acumen capable of driving growth in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic & Operational Leadership: Take full ownership of the strategic and operational execution in Poland, governing regulatory affairs, commercial development, and stakeholder relations.
• Operational Launch: Successfully establish, anchor, and scale the company's local corporate presence and operations in Poland.
• Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with regulators, professional advisors, and legal counsels to support and advance local licensing and compliance frameworks.
• Infrastructure Building: Build and define the local operational infrastructure, ensuring full alignment with corporate guidelines and statutory requirements.
• Team Leadership & Growth: Take direct management and mentorship responsibility for key local personnel, while actively participating in recruiting, hiring, and building out the local Polish team to support ongoing growth.

Requirements

• Senior Leadership Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of proven track record in a senior executive role (C-Level) or as a registered Board Member within a corporate structure.
• Languages: Native-level fluency or absolute professional proficiency in Polish is mandatory; high-level business proficiency in English is required.
• Education: Academic degree in Law, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Fit & Proper Status: An irreproachable professional reputation and the ability to fully satisfy the KNF’s regulatory standards for senior executive appointments (including a clean criminal and financial record).
• Financial Regulation Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of Polish AML laws, European cryptocurrency frameworks (such as MiCA), and electronic payment directives.
• Regulatory Engagement: Proven experience in managing communication, filings, and formal relations with the KNF and/or other relevant financial authorities.
• Executive Leadership Skills: Demonstrated capability to lead complex processes in changing regulatory environments, with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  
  

Nice to Have 

• Industry Domain Expertise: Strong professional background within FinTech, payments, commercial banking, Electronic Money Institutions (EMI), crypto, or other strictly regulated financial service environments.
• Licensing Track Record: Prior experience in successfully managing or supporting licensing processes for crypto platforms (CASP / VASP) or payment service providers with the KNF.
• Professional Certifications: Recognized professional credentials in compliance or anti-financial crime, such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent international AML designations.
• Scale-up Experience: Experience working within fast-growing tech startups (Fintech Scale-ups) or multi-jurisdictional, global corporate structures.
• Geographical Presence: Being physically located in Poland or possessing exceptionally high availability to work directly with the local market, team, and regulators.
